Scarvez

Now scarves have been around for a while now, and can be seen everywhere!! I know this trend is old but it is still going strong so I have decided to blog about it because I can't seem to get tired of it.

The colors and patterns are endless..........and don't be afraid to pair a scarf with an outfit because you fear it won't match....they go with everything!!

There are many ways of which you can wear your scarf....the popular western cowboy style seems to the the favorite of most today but feel free to go with the look you feel most comfortable with.

The Fedora

One cool accessory to own is a fedora. Yeah I know most of you are probably saying you don't want to walk around looking like Indiana Jones, but the fedora can add a cool classy look to almost any ensemble. After all it was seen as an upper-class clothing accessory at the beginning of the twentieth century........ Today fedoras can be found in various colors and styles and can be paired with almost anything from a basic tee and jeans(my personal favorite) to a suit.

Just remember if you are going for the fedora look, try to keep it simple and don't combine too many accessories with it. The fedora can say a whole lot on it's own.

Plaid Flannel!!!

So as you all may know, winter is coming........and flannel is back! Time to dig deep in your closet and pull out last season's plaid flannel. There isn't much more I can say......I came across these today and I was speechless...

....if you don't have any flannel from last season, run on over to your friendly neighborhood Urban Outfitters and grab yourself a couple. (www.urbanoutfitters.com) I guess you already know how to wear your flannel, but if not just take a few tips from the pics.

Dark Denim

Dark denim is another one of those essential items to have in your wardrobe. It has a very classic classy look and can be dressed up with a formal shirt or worn with a tee and a blazer and not to mention CHUCKZ!!! I recommend you go out and get yourself a pair in your favorite fit TODAY. Dark denim can be found at almost any retailer in numerous styles and fits.

My favorite fit is slim/skinny. I would pair some skinny jeans with a button up and maybe throw a cardigan over it. A pair of rugged oxfords and some retro sunglasses would complete the simple yet chic look.

Chuckz!!

THE Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars (aka Chucks) have become one of the staples of life...after all they are the most successful shoe in all history. One should not go with out this shoe in your collection.......girl or boy.......young or old.......chucks are the way to go!! Chucks have been with us for quite a while now.....from their introduction in the year 1917; they were targeted at the basketball market but only met their fame when basketball player Chuck Taylor opted to make this shoe his signature shoe.

From the streets of the Cali....to the streets of NYC, chucks today can be seen almost everywhere in every color and every variation that anyone can possible dream of..... These shoes have gained their popularity because of their versatility. They can be dressed up with a spiffy tux at a red carpet event......to an urban rock and roll/punk look with denim and a simple tee.

I personally would recommend the basic black and white canvas chucks as a starter just to get the feel of the shoe, but the more you wear them, the more you will realize that you absolutely love their style and versatility.....you will be going back for more......and trust me, there is a pair of chucks out there to satisfy everyone's need!!

Retro Sunniez!

Retro sunnies are in.....and they are here to stay! It is evident that many retro styles have been making their way back and they are being widely accepted in pop culture today. In my opinion, one of the most prominent styles would have to be the sunglasses. Some celebs from Kanye West to Pharrell and even Rihanna along with many others have adopted these trends and made them HUGE!

My favorite brand for retro sunglasses would have to be none other than Ray Ban. Ray Ban was the original maker of many of the styles that are coming back into style and hence has many great retro sunglasses to choose from. Persol is another great brand for retro looks.

Here are some pics of some cool retro looks:

Don't be afraid to rock a pair of these retro glasses, go on out and get yourself a pair......they can add a classic look to any ensemble.
